John Hout

John Hout

John Hout has been a practicing attorney since 1994.  He graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with honors.  Prior to joining Reddick Moss, John was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas for almost 22 years.  As a prosecutor, John handled all types of criminal prosecutions with over fifty homicide cases going to trial before a jury.  He handled major crimes, gang violence, and cases involving violent rape and child abuse.  During his legal career, he has had over 175 jury trials and handled thousands of cases involving victims of violent crime.

He has presented for the National District Attorney’s Association, and is a certified law enforcement instructor.  He has taught several classes dealing with courtroom testimony, use of force, search and seizure, investigating sexual abuse, and subjects concerning trial advocacy.  He has presented classes to health care professionals, members of law enforcement, and other attorneys both locally and nationally.  He has appeared on AETN (the local PBS station) for a program discussing the mentally ill in the criminal justice system.  As a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, he has planned several classes dealing with evidence associated with crime scenes.
He was born and raised in Camden, Arkansas, so he has an appreciation of life in a small town as well as larger cities.  He has volunteered at Arkansas Children's Hospital and is a board member of the Center for Women in Transition.

John has dedicated his career in helping victims from all walks of life, and continues to do so with Reddick Moss.  When he first began his legal career, it was with Brian Reddick and Brent Moss, so it is fitting that he is helping victims today with their firm.  John is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the Arkansas Bar Association.
